Positive vibes at Home

A few months back, I watched a Netflix series 'Tidying Up with Marie Kondo' and got to know how our lifestyle at home impacts our state of mind. I am that kind of person who is obsessed with cleanliness, one way it is good, but it takes a toll on me when I travel or stay at someone's place. But this series has explained why it is vital to declutter your home and make a clean space to stay.

We are always rigid about letting go of mundane things and get confused between need & want, and we end up cluttering our home. In the series, Marie Kondo explained it beautifully how to let go of things and still have gratitude towards it. And this process will help us get rid of unwanted items and create space for what we need. When things change around us, it reflects within us.

We might have noticed in the family, only one person taking charge of keeping the house organized. The best we can do is each one us can share a few responsibilities; that way workload gets divided, and everyone gets more connected towards home.

When we visit any hotel to stay and see everything organized and clean, we immediately start feeling positive & happy about it. We should try creating a similar space for our home as well, as we spend most of our time there. So it's imperative to have a tidy space for mental peace & prosperity.

In our busy lives, it might seem impossible to give time for cleaning or organizing every day. But few things can be added to our daily routine like making our bed once we get up, keeping the kitchen platform clean before going to bed, using covered dustbins, donating unused things to people in need etc. Small changes can bring positive impact & become beneficial in the long run. Our home should look welcoming the moment we enter.

To make our home look good, we end up spending a lot of money. But it is always good to have minimal & necessary things around you and make the right use of it. Just add a few things like flowers, fragrance, paintings (which brings a smile on your face) & natural light (during day time), we see all the difference.

Until I saw the series, I had no idea about tidiness impacting our lives. Before I used to organize & clean because that was my practice, but now I have started recognizing the positive energy every time I do. I highly recommend this series if you want to learn & practise good lifestyle at home.
